Located in Longmen, Dingnan County, Hainan, the Dragon Gate Eco-Tourism and Resort Master Plan contains a comprehensive land use analysis and master plan development for approximately 4780 acres (1970 hectares) to create a new environmental tourism destination in proximity to Haikou.

During the planning phase of the project, UI was brought in to transform the site into Hainan's first Multi-Destination Resort. This was achieved through an innovative land use plan which utilized existing site characteristics, not only the agricultural wetlands but also the areas of volcanic stone and natural rock formations, to guide the placement of several unique hotel and leisure resort zones, connected by a clean fuel resort transit system with narrative story and also including a wetlands zone comprised of the Grass Resort, Water Resort, Air Resort, and Wood Resort connected by the worlds largest series of wetlands walkways in the form of the Taoist Yin-Yang Symbol.

The project showcases UI's commitment to social responsibility through land use development which enhances the local economy while preserving the Hainan lifestyle, providing a new unique tourism destination for the island.
